DAYTON CHAMPIONS BASEBALL LEAGUE (DCBL)
Participant Waiver, Release of Liability, and Assumption of Risk Agreement

Assumption of Risk
I understand that baseball is a physically demanding sport that carries inherent risks including but not
limited to: being struck by a baseball or bat, collisions with players or objects, slips and falls on playing
surfaces, injuries from uneven field conditions, heat exhaustion, dehydration, and injuries resulting from
competitive athletic activity. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in Dayton
Champions Baseball League activities.

Release of Liability
I release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Dayton Champions Baseball League (DCBL),
its Board of Directors, league officials, coaches, managers, volunteers, umpires, facility owners, and
sponsors from any liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising from injuries, illness, property
damage, or death resulting from participation in league activities.

Umpire Authority and Conduct
I agree to respect the authority of umpires and league officials. I understand that umpire decisions are
final and agree to conduct myself in a sportsmanlike manner. Threatening, intimidating, or confronting
umpires may result in ejection, suspension, or removal from the league.

Alcohol and Drug Policy
I acknowledge that participation while under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, or impairing
substances is prohibited. Participants who appear impaired may be removed from play at the discretion
of league officials. I accept full responsibility for any injuries or damages related to alcohol or drug use.

Medical Responsibility
I certify that I am physically capable of participating in baseball activities. I understand that DCBL does
not provide medical insurance and I am responsible for any medical costs incurred due to injury.

Equipment and Safety
I understand that protective equipment reduces but does not eliminate injury risk and that I am
responsible for ensuring my equipment is safe and properly maintained.

Property
DCBL is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property during league activities.

Media Release

I grant permission for DCBL to use photographs or video recordings of my participation for promotional
or informational purposes.
